Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has refuted claims that he owes any outstanding land fees to the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).<\/p>\n<p>In a statement issued on Friday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, the Speaker clarified that he had settled all outstanding payments since October 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The statement read: \u201cThe attention of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D., GCON, has been drawn to reports alleging the revocation of land titles in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) due to non-payment of fees.<\/p>\n<p>For the record, the Speaker owns only one allocated land in the FCT and fully cleared the outstanding fees in October 2024 after the FCTA&#8217;s newspaper publications on the matter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Abbas emphasized that it was an error for the FCTA to include his name among defaulters, resulting in the reported revocation of land titles.
