{"id":351220,"date":"2025-01-03T18:08:42","date_gmt":"2025-01-03T17:08:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=351220"},"modified":"2025-01-03T18:08:42","modified_gmt":"2025-01-03T17:08:42","slug":"abuja-to-experience-power-outage-for-two-weeks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2025\/01\/03\/abuja-to-experience-power-outage-for-two-weeks\/","title":{"rendered":"Abuja to experience power outage for two weeks"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong><strong>The disruptions would occur from January 6 to 21, 2025<\/strong><\/strong><br \/>\n<hr \/>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC, has announced that there will be disruptions in some parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, in the coming days.<\/p>\n<p>It said the blackout is due to the relocation of the 33KV DC Airport Feeder and 132KV Kukwaba-Apo Transmission Line Towers along the Outer Southern Motorway.<\/p>\n<p>The distribution company made this known in a statement on its official X handle, noting that the disruptions would occur from January 6 to 21, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The statement read: \u201cPlease be informed that there will be power interruptions from January 6-21, 2025, due to FCDA relocating the 33KV DC Airport Feeder and 132KV Kukwaba-Apo Transmission Line Towers along the Outer Southern Motorway.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2024\/11\/27\/electricity-workers-disrupt-aedc-operations-over-welfare-demands\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AEDC<\/a> said areas that will be affected during the period include Lugbe &amp; environs, Airport Road, Kapwa, NNPC, Games Village, National Stadium, Eye Clinic, Indoor Complex, Christ Embassy Church, American International School, Spring Court, American Embassy Quarters, EFCC HQ, Coca Cola, Railway, FMC, and parts of Apo.<\/p>\n<p>Others are parts of Gudu, Gbazango &amp; environs; parts of Kubwa, Bwari &amp; environs; parts of Jahi; parts of Jabi; Karu, Nyanya, Mararaba, and Keffi &amp; environs; and other parts of Abuja.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The disruptions would occur from January 6 to 21, 2025 The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC, has announced that there will be disruptions in some parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, in the coming days.
