with the tribunal provisionally admitting them as exhibits<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>At the Edo State governorship election appeal tribunal in Benin City on Saturday, Asue Ighodalo, the PDP&#8217;s candidate for governor, presented further documentary evidence against Governor Monday Okpebholo.<\/p>\n<p>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2024\/02\/23\/im-the-winner-of-edo-pdp-guber-primary-not-afraid-of-anyone-ighodalo\/\">Edo State<\/a> governorship election scheduled for September 21, Ighodalo and his party are running against Governor Okpebholo.<\/p>\n<p>When they launched their case at the tribunal on Friday, they submitted more than 1,000 papers.<\/p>\n<p>In Saturday\u2019s proceeding, the petitioners\u2019 counsel, Kenneth Mozia (SAN), tendered more evidence, including 55 Certified True Copies (CTCs) of polling Units voters register, CTCs of 56 accreditation figures of extracts from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Bimodal Voters Accreditation Systems Machines (BVAS), 72 CTCs of extracts of accreditation figures from the BVAS devices, 75 CTCs of INEC\u2019s Results Viewing (IREV) Containing Form EC8A and 70 CTCs of INEC\u2019s Polling Units Booklets, containing Form EC25B, among others.<\/p>\n<p>However, the governor and APC objected to the admissibility of the documents.<\/p>\n<p>The respondents said they would give their reasons during the presentation of their written addresses.<\/p>\n<p>The tribunal chairman, Justice Wilfred Kpochi, provisionally admitted all the documents and marked the same as exhibits.<\/p>\n<p>He adjourned the panel\u2019s sitting till Monday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Asue Ighodalo
