{"id":353193,"date":"2025-01-21T19:17:56","date_gmt":"2025-01-21T18:17:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=353193"},"modified":"2025-01-21T20:46:52","modified_gmt":"2025-01-21T19:46:52","slug":"federal-medical-centre-employee-commits-suicide-in-ogun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2025\/01\/21\/federal-medical-centre-employee-commits-suicide-in-ogun\/","title":{"rendered":"Federal Medical Centre employee commits suicide in Ogun"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>Adeniji, who works at the Audit Department of the hospital, was said to have died after jumping into a well around Obantoko, Abeokuta<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>One Oluwaseyi Adeniji, an employee of the Federal Medical Centre, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2025\/01\/21\/fg-approves-inland-dry-ports-for-ogun-oyo\/\">Ogun State<\/a>, has taken his own life.<\/p>\n<p>Adeniji, who works at the Audit Department of the hospital, was said to have died after jumping into a well around Obantoko, Abeokuta.<\/p>\n<p>Adeniji was said to have took his own life shortly after dinner on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>A source said that the senior staff member allegedly had mental health challenges and had previously undergone treatment<\/p>\n<p>The hospital\u2019s Head of Public Relations Department, Dr Segun Orisajo, confirmed that Adeniji died under a questionable circumstance.<\/p>\n<p>Orisajo said that the news of the demise of Adeniji was shocking to the hospital community<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cThe sudden death of Mr Adeniji Oluwaseun under a questionable circumstance was a painful loss to the Federal Medical Centre Idi-Aba, Abeokuta.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was a dedicated, loyal and hardworking staff. I must stress that his death was a shock to the hospital community because there were no obvious signs that we were going to miss him so soon because he was at work almost the whole of last week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Medical Director, Prof Adewale Musa-Olomu, has extended his heartfelt condolences to his family, his department and the hospital at large.
