They argued that this<\/span>\u00a0would integrate the region into the country\u2019s economic framework.<\/p>\n<p>The resolution followed a motion by Senator Danjuma Goje, a former Gombe State governor and ex-minister, representing Gombe Central.<\/p>\n<p>He highlighted that despite the Tinubu administration\u2019s extensive road projects, the North-East had only two approved projects: Yola\u2013Fufore\u2013Gurin Road in Adamawa State (N11.81 billion) and Lamido Road in Taraba State (N7.68 billion), from a total budget of N4.2 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>Goje pointed out that many crucial roads in the North-East remain in poor condition. These include Bauchi\u2013Gombe, Biu\u2013Gombe, Potiskum\u2013Gombe, Darazo\u2013Gombe, Numan\u2013Jalingo, Yola\u2013Mubi, and Yola\u2013Michika\u2013Madagali\u2013Gwoza\u2013Bama roads.<\/p>\n<p>Others in dire need of repairs include Ngorore\u2013Mayo Belwa\u2013Zing\u2013Jalingo, Mayo Belwa\u2013Jada\u2013Ganye, Biu\u2013Gombi\u2013Maranraba, Biu\u2013Damboa\u2013Maiduguri, and Biu\u2013Damaturu roads.<\/p>\n<p>He also stressed that the North-East remains the only region excluded from the super highway project.<\/p>\n<p>The Senate further urged the government to prioritize rehabilitating all deteriorating roads nationwide. Lawmakers commended the administration for its ambitious road projects, emphasizing their positive impact on the nation&#8217;s economic and political landscape.<\/p>\n<p>Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who presided over the session, appreciated Senator Goje\u2019s motion. He reaffirmed that road infrastructure remains a key priority for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu\u2019s administration.<\/p>\n<p>Akpabio also reiterated the government&#8217;s commitment to completing
