Following the latter\u2019s controversial removal, both sides have exchanged accusations.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"400\" data-end=\"676\">Last week, the Benue State House of Assembly, acting on a letter from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/06\/23\/benue-grazing-law-still-in-force-alia-warns\/\">Governor Alia<\/a> alleging corruption, approved Ikpambese\u2019s removal.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"400\" data-end=\"676\">The decision has drawn criticism from the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the National Assembly, both of which have demanded a reversal.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"678\" data-end=\"927\">In a viral video on Sunday, Ikpambese broke his silence and claimed he was removed for refusing to appoint the governor\u2019s preferred justices to the Local Government Election Petition Tribunal.
