KGIRS is the only legally recognized body responsible for tax and revenue collection in Kogi State,\u201d Enehe stated.<\/p>\n<p>He further clarified that no associations or unions are permitted to collect revenue on behalf of the government. \u201cAnyone caught violating this law will be prosecuted. Some offenders are already facing trial,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The KGIRS chairman also urged residents who have yet to fulfill their tax obligations to do so promptly, benefiting the state.<\/p>\n<p>He stressed that timely tax payments would enable the government to fund essential services such as education, healthcare, roads, and water supply.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you declare your income and pay your tax on time, the government gains the financial resources to execute meaningful projects for the people\u2019s benefit,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p>Enehe highlighted recent government initiatives funded by tax revenue, including road projects such as the Zone 8 Roundabout\u2013Barrack\u2013Zango\u2013GYB Junction Road and Zone 8 Roundabout\u2013CBN\u2013High Court Road.<\/p>\n<p>He also mentioned the payment of WAEC, JAMB, and BECE fees for students in public schools as part of the state\u2019s commitment to taxpayers.<\/p>\n<p>He urged all residents to comply with tax
