He emphasized that the organization has begun integrating technology into its registration process to enhance transparency and trust.<\/p>\n<p>According to Faleye, innovation and a proactive approach are essential to meeting the rising expectations of ECS beneficiaries. He also stressed the importance of forging partnerships with relevant agencies to boost awareness and compliance among employers and employees, thereby expanding ECS adoption.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs custodians of the Employees\u2019 Compensation Scheme, our mandate is clear\u2014providing timely compensation and support to employees affected by workplace injuries, disabilities, diseases, or fatalities,\u201d Faleye stated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis scheme is more than financial compensation; it is a lifeline that upholds dignity, promotes safer workplaces, and strengthens Nigeria\u2019s social security system.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn 2024, we processed 22,350 claims, ensuring timely support for beneficiaries. We expanded our reach to 13 regions and established five new branches, bringing the total to 62. The Fund now covers 183,528 employers and 7,616,476 employees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have conducted 3,250 health and safety audits, 808 investigations, 2,035 awareness initiatives, and 248 follow-up audits,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the agency\u2019s Executive Director of Operations, Mojisola Alli-Macaulay, highlighted the importance of the Management Performance Review (MPR) in assessing NSITF\u2019s performance for 2024 and shaping strategies for 2025.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis event is critical as it allows us to evaluate our achievements, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance growth and service delivery,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe theme for this year\u2019s MPR, \u2018Aligning Performance Activities with the Strategic Objectives of the Fund,\u2019 highlights the need for every department, region, and branch to work in synergy towards our overarching goals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDespite challenges over the past year, we have reaffirmed our commitment to excellence and innovation. Through resilience and dedication, we have strengthened NSITF as a pillar of social security and welfare for Nigerian workers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we engage in presentations and discussions, I urge every participant to contribute insights and recommendations.
