{"id":360231,"date":"2025-07-05T09:51:17","date_gmt":"2025-07-05T08:51:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=360231"},"modified":"2025-07-05T09:51:17","modified_gmt":"2025-07-05T08:51:17","slug":"breaking-nnpcl-slashes-pump-price-after-dangote-cut","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2025\/07\/05\/breaking-nnpcl-slashes-pump-price-after-dangote-cut\/","title":{"rendered":"BREAKING: NNPCL slashes pump price after Dangote cut"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>Dangote Refinery recently dropped ex-depot price to N840 per litre after a decline in global crude oil prices.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><b>Independent marketers cut petrol prices to N930\u2013N940 in Abuja and N890 in Lagos, down from previous highs.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has reduced the pump price of premium motor spirit at its retail outlets.<\/p>\n<p>According to Daily Post, the pump price was slashed to N910 per litre, down from N945, across NNPCL stations in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>This reduction was observed on Saturday at NNPCL filling stations in locations such as Zone 6, Kubwa Expressway, Wuse Zone 4, and other parts of the city.<\/p>\n<p>The new rate marks a N30 drop compared to the earlier pump price of N945 per litre at the state-run oil firm.<\/p>\n<p>The development follows a similar move by the Dangote Refinery, which slashed its ex-depot petrol price to N840 per litre, down from N880.<\/p>\n<p>The price adjustment at Dangote was attributed to a drop in global crude oil prices.<\/p>\n<p>Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) members also reduced their petrol prices across Abuja and Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>In Abuja, independent marketers now sell between N930 and N940 per litre, compared to the earlier price range of N945 to N975.<\/p>\n<p>In Lagos, prices have dropped from N925 to N890 per litre, reflecting the broader downward trend in fuel prices.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dangote Refinery recently dropped ex-depot price to N840 per litre after a decline in global crude oil prices.
