The group stage of the ongoing CAF Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2025, has been concluded, with the knockout stage expected to commence in the coming days.<\/p>\n

With the conclusion of the group stage, the Confederation of African Football on Thursday released the full fixtures for the Round of 16. According to the continent football governing body, the knockout phase will run from Saturday, January 3, to Tuesday, January 6, with two matches played daily at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.<\/p>\n
The knockout phase will begin on Saturday with 2021 champions Senegal facing Sudan. Mali and Tunisia will then slug it out, with Mali still in search of a first continental title and Tunisia seeking to add to their 2004 triumph.<\/p>\n
Hosts Morocco will face Tanzania on Sunday at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat, after finishing top of Group A. Tanzania progressed as one of the four best third-placed teams from Group C.<\/p>\n
Later on Sunday, South Africa will take on Cameroon, in a fixture that will see coach Hugo Broos face the team he led to AFCON glory in 2017.<\/p>\n
On Monday, record seven-time champions Egypt will face Benin, as the Pharaohs continue their search for a first AFCON title since 2010.<\/p>\n
Later that evening, Nigeria, one of the exceptional teams in the group stage, face Mozambique in F\u00e8s, with the Super Eagles seeking to clinch the title for the fourth time after falling short in 2023 when they finished second.<\/p>\n
Tuesday\u2019s fixtures see Algeria battle DR Congo in Rabat before defending champions Cote d\u2019Ivoire close the round against Burkina Faso in Marrakech.<\/p>\n
CAF added that the quarter-finals will be played on January 9 and 10, while the final is scheduled for January 18 at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat.<\/p>\n
