Delta State Government says it has yet to receive the $4.2 million Ibori loot from the federal government.<\/p>\n

The money, stolen by former Delta governor James Ibori, was recently returned to the Nigerian government by the UK government which seized it from the former governor.<\/p>\n

WITHIN NIGERIA recall that the Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, said Tuesday that the money had been returned to the Delta State Government<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Idris, said this when he appeared before the House of Representatives\u2019 Ad-hoc Committee on Assessment and Status of All Recovered Loots Movable and Immovable Assets from 2002 to 2020.<\/p>\n

However, the spokesperson to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has countered the claim, he told journalists in Asaba on Wednesday that the state government was yet to receive the funds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
