The government\u2019s recent #Twitterban undermines Nigerians\u2019 ability to exercise this fundamental freedom and sends a poor message to its citizens, investors and businesses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBanning <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/06\/04\/nbc-to-license-all-social-media-operations-in-nigeria-lai-mohammed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> and curbing every citizen\u2019s ability to seek, receive, and impart information undermines fundamental freedoms.
