{"id":44297,"date":"2021-06-09T06:08:37","date_gmt":"2021-06-09T05:08:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=44297"},"modified":"2021-06-09T06:08:37","modified_gmt":"2021-06-09T05:08:37","slug":"fg-shortlists-550000-for-n-power-batch-c-final-selection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/06\/09\/fg-shortlists-550000-for-n-power-batch-c-final-selection\/","title":{"rendered":"FG shortlists 550,000 for N-Power Batch C final selection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Federal Government on Tuesday said it has shortlisted 550,000 applicants for the final selection for Batch C of the N-Power programme.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Sadiya Umar Farouq, disclosed this at a press briefing on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Farouk said that the Central Bank of Nigeria would support Batches A and B beneficiaries who had completed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/05\/27\/weve-paid-all-n-power-beneficiaries-says-fg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">N-Power<\/a> programme with soft loans.<\/p>\n<p>She added that the 550,000 short-listed applicants were being individually contacted through the e-mail addresses provided by them.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/06\/09\/one-million-nigerians-to-receive-n5000-stipends-for-six-months-farouq\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Farouq<\/a> noted that the applicants had been advised to first check and immediately log on to the NASIMS self-service portal to enroll their biometric data which would lead them to the final selection.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c500,000 will be finally selected nationwide to serve as the first stream of the N-Power Batch C programme. This is the Batch C1. The second batch of another 500,000 will subsequently be made in line with Mr President\u2019s directive to engage 1,000,000 beneficiaries under the Batch C.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Answering a question on the need to support exited N-Power beneficiaries, the minister said, \u201cVery soon the CBN will support those of them who have shown interest in one vocational skill programme or small business with soft loans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She said over 300,000 exited beneficiaries in Batches A and B would receive the loan from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/06\/07\/cbn-increases-forex-allocation-to-banks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBN<\/a>, as about 500,000 persons benefitted from the N-Power programme in the two batches.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Federal Government on Tuesday said it has shortlisted 550,000 applicants for the final selection for Batch C of the N-Power programme.
