{"id":492,"date":"2021-02-02T05:07:45","date_gmt":"2021-02-02T04:07:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=492"},"modified":"2021-02-02T05:07:47","modified_gmt":"2021-02-02T04:07:47","slug":"how-tinubu-gave-me-n2-million-to-fuel-my-car-in-2009-sunday-igboho-opens-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/02\/02\/how-tinubu-gave-me-n2-million-to-fuel-my-car-in-2009-sunday-igboho-opens-up\/","title":{"rendered":"How Tinubu gave me N2 million to fuel my car in 2009, Sunday Igboho opens up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chief Sunday Adeyemo alias Sunday Igboho, the popular Yoruba activist who gave eviction notice to Fulani herder to vacate the West, has revealed that former Governor of Lagos state and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, once gave him N2 million to fuel his car.<\/p>\n<p>This is coming after special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on political matters, Babafemi Ojudu, made some revelations about Igboho\u2019s meeting with Tinubu.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting to the claims by Ojudu, the activist said he met Tinubu at his Bourdillion home in Lagos after he (Tinubu) invited him to seek his support against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2009 Ondo election.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/2021\/01\/27\/sunday-igboho-speaks-on-leading-amotekun\/\">Sunday Igboho<\/a> also revealed that the former Governor of Lagos state gave him N2 million to fuel his car when he was departing, and he never met him again after that.<\/p>\n<p>He said;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I was hustling I had a company for about fifteen years ago, a company that sells cars. I started buying cars from Cotonou, then started buying from Germany, America, London; I travelled around to bring them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAny politician that said he gave me <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/2021\/01\/26\/sunday-igboho-reveals-how-much-he-lost-in-house-fire\/\">money<\/a> should come out and swear with his child.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTinubu is alive, ask him if I collected money from him. Yes, I have seen him before. It was the time to vote for Mimiko in Ondo. I supported Mimiko\u2019s opponent and they called senator Ladoja. Ladajo called me and said Tinubu wanted to see me and I should do whatever he wants.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy number was given to Tinubu and he called me. I went to see him in Bourdillon. He asked me if Ladoja has explained the election in Ondo to me. He said he hoped I was aware of how much people had suffered under PDP\u2019s administration in the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd he told me that the election in Ondo, if <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/2020\/11\/06\/obasanjo-reveals-why-former-oyo-governor-ladoja-was-impeached\/\">Ladoja<\/a> has explained to me, I should not support PDP and that they need to suffer for how they treated the people. And I told him whatever he wants and I left.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo be sincere, he gave me N2million to buy fuel [for] my car. You can interview and ask him. He said if I love Ladoja, I should know how much PDP dealt with us, so I should leave the party.
