killing them while two other persons were injured in Ibadan, Oyo state.<\/p>\n<p>The incident which occurred in front of Bovas Filling Station at the Total Garden area of Ibadan on Wednesday morning, June 23, involved a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/05\/28\/protest-rocks-ikorodu-after-trailer-crushes-four-to-death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trailer<\/a> with reg. nos APP-696-XV belonging to Coca-Cola and a motorcycle with reg nos: BDJ-486-QX.<\/p>\n<p>It was gathered that some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/06\/04\/angry-youths-burn-truck-load-of-cows-after-driver-kills-8-hawkers-in-akwa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">angry youths<\/a> and motorcyclists at the scene attempted to set the trailer ablaze but they were prevented by the security operatives who shot sporadically shot into the air to scare them off.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-50191\" src=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/06\/kunlenet07\/2021\/06\/23\/IMG-20210623-WA0004-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" Oyo State Road Transport Management Authority (\u200bOYRTMA) Emergency Rescue Team joined by other security agencies were on ground to calm ensuing tensions and the trailer involved was towed away from the road corridor till further investigations by the police.<\/p>\n<p>The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state, Mrs Uche Chukwurah, who confirmed the incident said that five people were involved in the accident, with three confirmed dead and two others injured.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-50181\" attributed the likely cause of the accident to brake failure on the part of the trailer.<\/p>\n<p>Chukwurah said that the injured persons were receiving treatment at the University College Hospital
