{"id":52855,"date":"2021-06-30T16:41:24","date_gmt":"2021-06-30T15:41:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=52855"},"modified":"2021-06-30T16:41:24","modified_gmt":"2021-06-30T15:41:24","slug":"senate-passes-n74-78bn-2021-police-trust-fund-budget","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/06\/30\/senate-passes-n74-78bn-2021-police-trust-fund-budget\/","title":{"rendered":"Senate passes N74.78bn 2021 Police Trust Fund budget"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Senate has approved the budget of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund for the 2021 fiscal year.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/06\/29\/supplementary-budget-lawan-directs-committee-to-submit-report-wednesday\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">budget<\/a>, put at the sum of N74,773,601,916 billion was passed sequel to the presentation of the report of the Joint Committee of the Senate and House of Representatives on Police Affairs by the chairman of the Senate Committee on Police Affairs, Dauda Halliru Jika.<\/p>\n<p>The 2021 NPTF approved, on Wednesday, by the Senate was the second since the Act that established the Fund became effective in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Senator Jika in his presentation disclosed that the total revenue roll-over from 2020 was N23,632,857,141.30.<\/p>\n<p>He further gave a breakdown as N988,279,006.05, N10,027,610,310.25 and N11,015,889,316.30 as Personnel Cost, Overheads and Recurrent Expenditures, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The sum of N63,757,712,600.00 was further earmarked for Capital Expenditure.<\/p>\n<p>The Senator representing Bauchi central gave the 2021 accrued revenue as follows: 0.5 per cent of the Total Revenue Accrued to Federation Accounts Revenue at N41,867,680,099.00; 0.05 per cent of Total Value Added Tax (VAT) N8,824,064,676.00; 0.05 per cent of the Net Profit of Companies in Nigeria \u2013 N 300,000,000; and Aids, Grants, and Donations \u2013 N150,000,000.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Senate has approved the budget of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund for the 2021 fiscal year.
