{"id":57514,"date":"2021-07-12T18:58:16","date_gmt":"2021-07-12T17:58:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=57514"},"modified":"2021-07-13T18:50:22","modified_gmt":"2021-07-13T17:50:22","slug":"ugandan-woman-narrates-how-she-got-married-to-her-friends-ex-boyfriend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/07\/12\/ugandan-woman-narrates-how-she-got-married-to-her-friends-ex-boyfriend\/","title":{"rendered":"Ugandan woman narrates how she got married to her friend&#8217;s ex"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Ugandan woman, Jullian Atukwatse has narrated how she got married to her friend&#8217;s ex, Emmanuel Bujjingo on June 26, 2020 after she met him for the first time in a church.<\/p>\n<p>Julian disclosed that she met her husband, Emmanuel at Watoto Church Downtown, where they had gone for evening prayers.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, she had come with a friend who had come with her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/06\/28\/19-year-old-girl-stabs-boyfriend-to-death-in-kenya-over-infidelity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">boyfriend<\/a> (Emmanuel) whom she had never met.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;She introduced me to him (Emmanuel) but honestly speaking, I did not like his style and size. I tried discouraging her but she kept on telling me how good the guy was and especially his love for God,\u201d Jullian stated this during an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mywedding.co.ug\/real-stories\/202107\/i-married-my-friends-ex.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mywedding<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The relationship Emmanuel had with Jullian\u2019s friend failed but the two became friends. After some time, he got into another relationship with another friend of Jullian, which also did not last.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-57517 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/07\/kunlenet07\/2021\/07\/12\/Jullian-Atukwatse-and-husband.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/07\/kunlenet07\/2021\/07\/12\/Jullian-Atukwatse-and-husband.jpg 480w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/07\/kunlenet07\/2021\/07\/12\/Jullian-Atukwatse-and-husband-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The relationship with the person I was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/05\/16\/photo-nigerian-dele-alli-sparks-dating-rumours-with-pep-guardiolas-daughter-as-they-are-spotted-kissing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dating<\/a>\u00a0at that time didn\u2019t work out for reasons related to trust and infidelity. Despite that, we remained friends with Jullian. There was nothing between Jullian and I not until the relationship I was in failed. I then reconnected with Jullian more than an acquaintance,\u201d Emmanuel says.<\/p>\n<p>Jullian tried to act as a \u2018go-between\u2019 to see that Emmanuel reconnects with his ex, something Emmanuel says was never going to happen.<\/p>\n<p>According to Emmanuel, much as he liked Jullian for her striking beauty, especially her alluring eyes, her obedience towards God is what swept him off his feet.<\/p>\n<p>Julian shares that her attraction towards Emmanuel was his spiritual maturity, character and reasoning. She says most people do not like Emmanuel\u2019s principles but that is what she loves the most about him.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I began to \u2018hear\u2019 from God through dreams. God commanded me to leave my ex and wait for him, l could not believe that of all the men out there, God wanted me to wait for Emmanuel. We are happily married and all I can say is that God\u2019s choice is always the best.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jullian says it did not take long for Emmanuel to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/07\/11\/how-i-met-and-married-tb-joshua-wife-evelyn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">propose<\/a> because they knew each other since they were friends. At some point I gave up, thinking that some things were not meant for me.
