The Senior Pastor of Full Life Christian Centre, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Ntia Ntia has publicly apologised to Chairman of Cabana Group, Obinna Iyiegbu popularly known as Obi Cubana over his unkind comment concerning the lavish display of wealth at the funeral of the mother billionaire club owner over the weekend in Oba, Idemili-South Local Government Area of Anambra State.<\/p>\n

Pastor Ntia had reportedly condemned Obi Cubana and his associates after the burial, saying that \u201cThe place where you are standing to spray money, the road is not tarred\u2026. Can\u2019t you see the stupidity of illiteracy.\u201d<\/p>\n

The cleric got a lot of backlash from Nigerians on social media for what they consider a harsh and unkind statement with many saying Obi Cubana was a better man and \u201cmore godly\u201d than many Nigerian pastors.<\/p>\n

The pastor, who retracted his statement and apologised to Obi Cubana<\/a> after the backlash, said he immediately changed his perception after watching a BBC interview where the businessman talked about his humble beginning, his struggles, and how he made his first N1 million.<\/p>\n

Ntia stated this in a clip that is being circulated on Facebook, adding that he regretted his comment, and that he has \u201c100 per cent\u201d respect for the businessman.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to say that the comments came out very wrong and prematurely. With further information, the life that the man has affected, the people that the man has lifted, the destinies that he has invested in, sincerely I want to say that it is not my intention as a preacher to preach to cause hurt or to cause pain or to preach to discredit anybody, at all.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a preacher, my assignment is to preach words that heal, not hurt, words that help, not harm. Therefore, in any way those comments might have caused harm or pain, I sincerely apologise.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Uyo based preacher also apologised to Obi Cubana\u2019s friends and others who may have been hurt by his \u201cvery harsh and unkind\u201d comment.<\/p>\n

According to him, Obi Cubana is \u201ca great man, with the things he has done\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need more of such people who have a heart for others and would go to a great extent to invest in others,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He described Obi Cubana is his in-law as his wife is also from Anambra State.<\/p>\n
