Deputy Commissioner of Police and Head of the Inspector-General\u2019s Intelligence Response Team (IRT), Abba Kyari has blocked online news outlet, Peoples Gazette on his Instagram page and denied them access to critical public information.<\/p>\n

The media outlet revealed this on Friday through its Twitter handle handle, titled “Hushpuppi ally Abba Kyari blocks Peoples Gazette on Instagram”.<\/p>\n

WITHIN NIGERIA had reported that the United States Department of Justice had said ongoing investigations showed that Ramon Olorunwa Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi allegedly bribed Kyari<\/a>\u00a0to arrest one Kelly Chibuzo Vincent, one of his accomplices in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

According to a court document released by the United States Department of Justice on Wednesday, titled: \u2018Six Indicted in International Scheme to Defraud Qatari School Founder and then Launder over $1 Million in Illicit Proceeds\u2019,\u00a0Kyari<\/a>\u00a0was said to have been bribed to arrest one Kelly Chibuzor Vincent, 40, in Nigeria, who created bogus documents and arranged for the creation of a fake bank website and phone banking line to support the defrauding of a business person trying to provide $1.1m for the funding of a school in Qatar.<\/p>\n

Peoples Gazette claimed Kyari blocked them because they reported the Police Chief’s involvement wuth Hushpuppi in a multimillion-dollar fraud.<\/p>\n

The tweet reads: “Nigeria\u2019s deputy police commissioner Abba Kyari<\/a> has blocked Peoples Gazette on his Instagram page, denying it access to critical public information.<\/p>\n

“In the early hours of Friday, The Gazette found that Mr Kyari, who uses the photo-sharing app to disseminate public information, blocked it from accessing his Instagram page.<\/p>\n

“This followed The Gazette\u2019s news of his embroiling with Nigerian Internet fraudster Ramon Abass known as Hushpuppi, in a multimillion-dollar fraud.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
