{"id":70802,"date":"2021-08-14T04:13:48","date_gmt":"2021-08-14T03:13:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=70802"},"modified":"2021-08-14T04:13:48","modified_gmt":"2021-08-14T03:13:48","slug":"leader-of-four-man-robbery-gang-reveals-why-he-killed-pos-operator-5-others-in-ondo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/08\/14\/leader-of-four-man-robbery-gang-reveals-why-he-killed-pos-operator-5-others-in-ondo\/","title":{"rendered":"Leader of four-man robbery gang reveals why he killed PoS operator, 5 others in Ondo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Leader of four-man robbery gang, Banjo Adu has revealed why he killed PoS operator and five others in Akure, the Ondo state capital.<\/p>\n<p>The 24-year-old suspect said he killed the female <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/03\/12\/photos-abia-poly-student-5-others-arrested-over-killing-of-2-pos-operators-in-aba\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PoS operator<\/a>, Miss Adetutu Nofisat Ibrahim because the 28-year-old staff of First Bank refused to hand over her money on time.<\/p>\n<p>Adu stated this in an interview with newsmen on Thursday while he and his gang members were been paraded he Ondo State Police Commmand for killing six persons including two PoS operators and two Filling Station attendants in Akure.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Ibrahim was murdered in August 2019 at her Point-Of-Sale shop located in the Oke Ogba area of Akure South.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When my gang members and I got to the PoS shop of late Miss Adetutu, she refused to give us money on time and I put the trigger on her and I killed her after which we made away with her money,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-70805 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/08\/kunlenet07\/2021\/08\/14\/Miss-Adetutu-Nofisat-Ibrahim.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/08\/kunlenet07\/2021\/08\/14\/Miss-Adetutu-Nofisat-Ibrahim.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/08\/kunlenet07\/2021\/08\/14\/Miss-Adetutu-Nofisat-Ibrahim-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Three other suspects arrested by police detectives include Deji Ajayi, Babajide Adewole and Dare Adeoye.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects had also in January 2020 stormed Owe-Akala area of Oke-Aro, Akure and also robbed a POS shop belonging to one Solomon Ehingbe.<\/p>\n<p>Solomon was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/08\/03\/kidnappers-shot-dead-while-collecting-ransom-in-taraba-state\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shot dead<\/a>\u00a0while the hoodlums later raided a restaurant located around NEPA area of Akure from where they carted away the sum of N1,200,000 cash, being proceeds from the sales of the day and also carted away handsets of customers who were at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>The State Commissioner of Police, Mr Bolaji Salami, said the robbers also killed two fuel attendants and stole N150,000.<\/p>\n<p>Adu also confessed to killing Ehingbe because he delayed in bringing out the cash when they arrived at his shop.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-70803 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/08\/kunlenet07\/2021\/08\/14\/Ondo-Robbers.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"445\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/08\/kunlenet07\/2021\/08\/14\/Ondo-Robbers.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/08\/kunlenet07\/2021\/08\/14\/Ondo-Robbers-300x223.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/08\/kunlenet07\/2021\/08\/14\/Ondo-Robbers-86x64.jpg 86w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We went round to other places like Obioma restaurant and robbed her of N150,000. We also proceeded to Rano Filling Station and robbed them of their money. We were arrested through a CCTV Camera that was placed in one of the places we robbed. We never knew there was camera installed.
