The remains of former Deputy Senate President Ibrahim Mantu have been laid to rest.<\/p>\n

His remains were buried at the Gudu Cemetery located in the nation\u2019s capital Abuja.<\/p>\n

The brief ceremony was witnessed by some dignitaries, including the former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim and Former Borno governorship candidate Kashim Ibrahim-Imam amongst others.<\/p>\n

Speaking to newsmen after the interment service, Ibrahim-Imam who is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, described the late Mantu as a patriot who will be missed dearly.<\/p>\n

He prayed God to comfort his family and the people of Plateau State.<\/p>\n

Mantu who was Deputy President between 2001 and 2007 died at 74 in the early hours of Tuesday in an Abuja hospital<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
