{"id":74748,"date":"2021-08-24T16:04:05","date_gmt":"2021-08-24T15:04:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=74748"},"modified":"2021-08-24T16:04:05","modified_gmt":"2021-08-24T15:04:05","slug":"oyetola-asks-apc-chair-to-withdraw-litigation-against-aregbesolas-loyalists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/08\/24\/oyetola-asks-apc-chair-to-withdraw-litigation-against-aregbesolas-loyalists\/","title":{"rendered":"Oyetola asks APC chair to withdraw litigation against Aregbesola&#8217;s loyalists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola has directed the Caretaker Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to withdraw the suit he filed against some party chieftains who had invaded the party secretariat with armed thugs a forthnight ago.<\/p>\n<p>This directive is contained in a press statement released on Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ismail Omipidan.<\/p>\n<p>Oyetola also directed security operatives to take charge of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/07\/30\/breaking-court-evicts-lai-mohammed-group-from-factional-apc-secretariat\/\">party secretariat<\/a> to avert any further breakdown of law and order.<\/p>\n<p>Oyetola who also doubles as the overall leader of the party condemned what he termed the \u201cunruly behaviour\u201d exhibited by some aggrieved members of the party at the APC Secretariat in Osogbo.<\/p>\n<p>He said no sane society would condone any act of lawlessness.<\/p>\n<p>Sympathising with individuals who sustained injuries during the said invasion, Governor Oyetola condemned the invasion and appealed to party members not to resort to self help\u00a0whenever there are disagreements among them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe invasion of the party secretariat by armed thugs stands condemned as no sane society will condone the resort to self help in settling disagreements within a family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut as the Governor , I have directed our party chairman to discontinue the matter in the interest of peace and harmony within the party\u201d the Governor said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola has directed the Caretaker Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to withdraw the suit he filed against some party chieftains who had invaded the party secretariat with armed thugs a forthnight ago.
