{"id":75277,"date":"2021-08-26T07:22:50","date_gmt":"2021-08-26T06:22:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=75277"},"modified":"2021-08-26T07:22:50","modified_gmt":"2021-08-26T06:22:50","slug":"cibn-to-discuss-strategies-for-global-competitiveness-in-banking-industry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/08\/26\/cibn-to-discuss-strategies-for-global-competitiveness-in-banking-industry\/","title":{"rendered":"CIBN to discuss strategies for global competitiveness in banking industry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) has stated that it will open discussion on cutting edge strategies to help banks and bankers position for global relevance.<\/p>\n<p>This was contained in a statement released on Wednesday by the <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">CIBN\u2019s head of corporate communications &amp; external relations,\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Nelson Olagundoye.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">He said this is part of efforts towards ensuring enhanced performance and improved service delivery to bank customers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>According to Olagundoye,\u00a0<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">participants in the discussion would include bankers and other financial experts across the globe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">He said the critical conversation is coming as part of ceremonies for 2021 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/08\/06\/undergraduates-jailed-for-cybercrime-in-ilorin\/\">graduates<\/a> induction and prize awards of the CIBN.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The induction ceremony, he said, is scheduled to be held virtually on August 28 at 11.00 a.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cA lecture titled: \u2018Breaking New Grounds: Positioning for Global Competitiveness\u2019 will be delivered by the Guest Speaker, Niyi Yusuf, managing partner, Verraki Business Solution for Africa,\u201d the statement reads.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cThe lecture would prepare the minds of the new professionals for the journey ahead and equip them with essential tips that will help them navigate the terrain as they position themselves for global competitiveness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cThe Special Guest of Honour at the event will be Hassan Bello, Managing Director\/CEO, Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), while Bayo Olugbemi, President\/Chairman of Council, CIBN will Chair the occasion.
