{"id":77332,"date":"2021-09-01T11:04:31","date_gmt":"2021-09-01T10:04:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=77332"},"modified":"2021-09-01T11:04:31","modified_gmt":"2021-09-01T10:04:31","slug":"fg-to-begin-rehabilitation-works-on-sango-otta-roads","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/09\/01\/fg-to-begin-rehabilitation-works-on-sango-otta-roads\/","title":{"rendered":"FG to begin rehabilitation works on Sango-Otta roads"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The federal government has promised to commence rehabilitation works on some failed portions on the Lagos-Sango -Abeokuta with immediate effect.<\/p>\n<p>This development was based on the intervention of the State Governor, Prince Dapo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/08\/31\/court-freezes-suspended-abioduns-aides-bank-accounts-seizes-lekki-home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abiodun<\/a>, and the Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola.<\/p>\n<p>The minister gave the assurance during a teleconference between his team and Governor Abiodun, on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>According to a statement by the governor\u2019s chief press secretary, Kunle Somorin, areas of immediate attention are the failed portions around Sango-Otta on the Lagos \u2013 Abeokuta express road and the Otta \u2013 Idiroko road.<\/p>\n<p>At the meeting called at the instance of Governor Abiodun were the minister; managing director, Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Engr. Nurudeen Rafindadi; Director of Federal Highway (Construction and Rehabilitation), Engr Folorunso Esan; among others.<\/p>\n<p>These federal roads have become a nightmare for motorists and commuters.<\/p>\n<p>Governor Abiodun reassured the citizens of the state that his administration will leave no stone unturned in his commitment to build and upgrade public infrastructure across the state.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The federal government has promised to commence rehabilitation works on some failed portions on the Lagos-Sango -Abeokuta with immediate effect.
