{"id":81064,"date":"2021-09-11T03:48:01","date_gmt":"2021-09-11T02:48:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=81064"},"modified":"2021-09-11T03:48:01","modified_gmt":"2021-09-11T02:48:01","slug":"nigerian-woman-allegedly-shot-dead-by-her-italian-husband-after-she-reportedly-filed-for-divorce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/09\/11\/nigerian-woman-allegedly-shot-dead-by-her-italian-husband-after-she-reportedly-filed-for-divorce\/","title":{"rendered":"Nigerian woman allegedly shot dead by her Italian husband after she reportedly filed for divorce"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Nigerian woman, Amenze Rita, has allegedly been shot dead by her husband, Pierangelo Pellizzar after she reportedly filed for divorce in Noventa Vicentina, Italy.<\/p>\n<p>The 31-year-old woman was killed in front of her colleagues in the parking lot of Mf Mushroom, a company where she worked on Friday morning, September 10.<\/p>\n<p>It was gathered that the 61-year-old suspect laid an ambush for Amenze at about 7:30am and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/09\/09\/sergeant-shot-dead-by-police-inspector-during-altercation-in-kano\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shot<\/a> her four times, killing her instantly.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-81066\" src=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/09\/kunlenet07\/2021\/09\/11\/Amenze-Rita.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1511\" height=\"2015\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/09\/kunlenet07\/2021\/09\/11\/Amenze-Rita.jpg 1511w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/09\/kunlenet07\/2021\/09\/11\/Amenze-Rita-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/09\/kunlenet07\/2021\/09\/11\/Amenze-Rita-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/09\/kunlenet07\/2021\/09\/11\/Amenze-Rita-1152x1536.jpg 1152w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1511px) 100vw, 1511px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After killing Amenze, he reportedly escaped from the crime scene aboard a grey Cherokee Jeep which was later found abandoned at his brother&#8217;s house.<\/p>\n<p>However, the carabinieri are currently on hunt for the suspect, who is said to armed and dangerous.<\/p>\n<p>According to Italian media, Amenze was killed because she filed for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/08\/10\/man-allegedly-stabs-wife-to-death-after-she-threatened-to-divorce-him\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">divorce<\/a> after she returned from Nigeria a week ago.<\/p>\n<p>It was further gathered that late Amenze arrived in Italy in 2017 through Libya and got married to her Italian husband in 2018.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Nigerian woman, Amenze Rita, has allegedly been shot dead by her husband, Pierangelo Pellizzar after she reportedly filed for divorce in Noventa Vicentina, Italy.
