{"id":81521,"date":"2021-09-12T15:42:20","date_gmt":"2021-09-12T14:42:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=81521"},"modified":"2021-09-12T15:42:20","modified_gmt":"2021-09-12T14:42:20","slug":"ipob-nnamdi-kanus-disciple-simon-ekpa-vows-to-return-medal-won-while-representing-nigeria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/09\/12\/ipob-nnamdi-kanus-disciple-simon-ekpa-vows-to-return-medal-won-while-representing-nigeria\/","title":{"rendered":"IPOB: Nnamdi Kanu&#8217;s disciple, Simon Ekpa vows to return medal won while representing Nigeria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Simon Ekpa, a disciple of the Supreme Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu denounced Nigeria and vowed to return the medal he won for the country.<\/p>\n<p>Ekpa, an athlete who represented Nigeria at the 2003 African Junior Athletics Championships said this in a Facebook post on Sunday, adding that leaders have failed the country.<\/p>\n<p>The Finland-based Biafra Republic agitator said his action is in with his allegiance to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/09\/12\/photos-imo-police-kill-ipob-esn-commander-recover-16-improvised-explosives-devices\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IPOB<\/a>, vowing to \u201cput everything I have to the disintegration of Nigeria\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The Biafra agitator said this while reacting to a letter he claimed he received from the Institute of Management Consultants , Nigeria, nominating him for a fellowship.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/08\/22\/biafra-ipob-disowns-nnamdi-kanus-disciple-simon-ekpa-gives-reason\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ekpa<\/a> posted, \u201cI reject your nomination publicly, this is the second time the IMC-Nigeria is nominating me for whatever reason. I am not interested in your nomination, I am not interested in your award, I am not interested in anything that will move Nigeria forward because Nigeria is not structured nor created to move forward, so anybody trying to move Nigeria forward is already a failure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet me give you a brief brake down on these failures: Awolowo, Zik, Ahmedu Bello, Abiola, Obasanjo, Jonathan, and every other person that have held any political position in Nigeria from 1960 to 2021 has all failed because they didn\u2019t realise that Nigeria was never created to move forward.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am now putting everything I have to the disintegration of Nigeria and restoration of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/08\/23\/biafra-ipob-esn-threatening-my-life-joe-igbokwe-writes-igp-igbo-govs-others\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biafra<\/a> as that is the only way to move forward, anything outside this, don\u2019t bring my name.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFinally, I will be returning every award given to me in Nigeria by Nigeria state or organisation within Nigeria acting in the capacity of representing Nigeria, including medal given to me by Nigeria will be returned to the Ministry of Sports Abuja in the nearest future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am Simon Ekpa, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu\u2019s Disciple on Biafra Restoration.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Simon Ekpa, a disciple of the Supreme Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu denounced Nigeria and vowed to return the medal he won for the country.
