{"id":84540,"date":"2021-09-20T14:09:37","date_gmt":"2021-09-20T13:09:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=84540"},"modified":"2021-09-20T14:09:37","modified_gmt":"2021-09-20T13:09:37","slug":"efcc-declares-24-year-old-man-wanted-for-n935m-investment-scam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/09\/20\/efcc-declares-24-year-old-man-wanted-for-n935m-investment-scam\/","title":{"rendered":"EFCC declares 24-year-old man wanted for N935m investment scam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared one Adewale Daniel Jayeoba wanted over an alleged investment scam.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/05\/11\/efcc-arrests-6-suspected-internet-fraudsters-in-abuja\/\">EFCC<\/a> said Jayeoba, a native of Ori-Ade Local Government in Osun State, used to live at Suit 1004, Providence Centre, MKO Abiola Way, by NNPC Mega Station, Abeokuta, Ogun State.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe public is hereby notified that Adewale Daniel Jayeoba of Wales Kingdom Capital is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in the alleged case of an investment scam,\u201d the anti-graft agency\u2019s Head of Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, said on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>WITHIN NIGERIA reports that the commission had in June arrested Jayeoba\u2019s parents, Emmanuel and Victoria Jayeoba for allegedly defrauding people in a N935million Ponzi scheme.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-84541\" src=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/09\/ify_davies\/2021\/09\/20\/UBnHdUdQ.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1001\" height=\"798\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/09\/ify_davies\/2021\/09\/20\/UBnHdUdQ.jpeg 1280w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/09\/ify_davies\/2021\/09\/20\/UBnHdUdQ-300x239.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/09\/ify_davies\/2021\/09\/20\/UBnHdUdQ-1024x816.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/09\/ify_davies\/2021\/09\/20\/UBnHdUdQ-768x612.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1001px) 100vw, 1001px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At the time, Uwujaren said the couple, in complicity with their son (still at large), \u201coperated the scheme in the guise of forex trading.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The couple was said to have been arrested at their residence in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are parents to Adewale Daniel, Marketing Director, Wales Kingdom Capital Limited,\u201d it was said at the time.<\/p>\n<p>The father, Emmanuel, was described as a Director in Wales Kingdom Capital; operating <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/08\/27\/zulum-to-establish-investment-promotion-agency-in-borno\/\">about<\/a> five bank accounts with which he had allegedly received N18,397,913 before he was arrested.<\/p>\n<p>The mother, Victoria, had six bank accounts through which she reportedly received up to N916,607,715.<\/p>\n<p>The EFCC urged anybody with useful information about the wanted man\u2019s whereabouts to contact any of its offices across the nation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared one Adewale Daniel Jayeoba wanted over an alleged investment scam.
