Three suspects have been arrested by the police for stabbing one Mohammed Sulaiman to death while robbing him of his mobile phone in Kano.<\/p>\n

WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that the suspects also confessed to have attacked one Kingsley Sunday and took away his mobile phone.<\/p>\n

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who disclosed this in a statement on Monday, September 20, said the suspected phone snatchers<\/a> were arrested for “armed robbery and culpable homicide.”<\/p>\n

“On the 19\/09\/2021 at about 2300 hours, a report was received that some hoodlums attacked one Mohammed Sulaiman, \u2018m\u2019, of Sharada Quarters Kano at Yahaya Gusau Street Sharada, stabbed<\/a> him with a knife and robbed him of his Mobile Phone.”<\/p>\n

“The victim was immediately rushed to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital Kano, where he was confirmed dead. On the same date, another report was received at about 2320 hours, that hoodlums attacked one Kingsley Sunday, \u2018m\u2019, of Panshekara Quarters, Kano, stabbed him with a knife on his shoulder and forehead and took away his Mobile Phone. Victim was also rushed to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital Kano where he was treated and discharged,”<\/p>\n

“Upon receipt of the reports, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama\u2019ila Shu\u2019aibu Dikko, raised and instructed teams of detectives led by SP Suleiman Ibrahim to arrest the culprits.<\/p>\n

“The Team swiftly swung into action, and following credible intelligence, arrested, (i) Hussaini Malami, \u2018m\u2019, 17 years old, (ii) Harisu Manniru, \u2018m\u2019, 20 years old, and (iii) Hussaini Abubakar, \u2018m\u2019, 19 years old, all of Zawaciki Quarters, Kumbotso LGA, Kano State. A knife with blood stain and the handset of one of the victims were recovered from them<\/p>\n

“On preliminary investigation, the suspects confessed to have conspired and attacked Kingsley Sunday, stabbed him on his shoulder and forehead, and made away with his mobile phone. The suspects are giving useful information.”<\/p>\n

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Sama\u2019ila Shu\u2019aibu Dikko, ordered that the case be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Command for discreet investigation after which the suspects will be charged to court for prosecution.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
