{"id":92661,"date":"2021-10-12T22:52:24","date_gmt":"2021-10-12T21:52:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=92661"},"modified":"2021-10-12T22:52:24","modified_gmt":"2021-10-12T21:52:24","slug":"photos-us-lottery-agent-graphics-designer-sentenced-to-prison-for-fraud","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/10\/12\/photos-us-lottery-agent-graphics-designer-sentenced-to-prison-for-fraud\/","title":{"rendered":"PHOTOS: US lottery agent, graphics designer sentenced to prison for fraud"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Salami Yusuf Adetola, a citizen who pretended to be a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/06\/18\/visa-lottery-us-warns-nigerians-of-fake-website\/\">lottery agent<\/a> in the United States, was sentenced to six months in prison for impersonation and cybercrime.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, Adetola was found guilty by Justice Adenike Akinpelu of the Kwara State High Court in Ilorin.<\/p>\n<p>He was convicted with AbdulKareem Abdulmojeed Olamilekan, a graphic designer from Kwara State&#8217;s Ifelodun Local Government Area, and Nwabudike Emmanuel Lawrence from Delta State&#8217;s Ethiope-East Local Government Area for a similar offense.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-92664\" src=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/10\/ify_davies\/2021\/10\/12\/20211012_082409-1536x2048-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"609\" height=\"812\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/10\/ify_davies\/2021\/10\/12\/20211012_082409-1536x2048-1.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/10\/ify_davies\/2021\/10\/12\/20211012_082409-1536x2048-1-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/10\/ify_davies\/2021\/10\/12\/20211012_082409-1536x2048-1-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021\/10\/ify_davies\/2021\/10\/12\/20211012_082409-1536x2048-1-1152x1536.jpg 1152w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 609px) 100vw, 609px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned the trio on separate charges. They all pleaded guilty.<\/p>\n<p>EFCC counsel, R. A.
