{"id":94529,"date":"2021-10-17T08:09:15","date_gmt":"2021-10-17T07:09:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=94529"},"modified":"2021-10-17T08:09:15","modified_gmt":"2021-10-17T07:09:15","slug":"three-die-in-lone-road-crash-on-lagos-ibadan-expressway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/10\/17\/three-die-in-lone-road-crash-on-lagos-ibadan-expressway\/","title":{"rendered":"Three die in lone road crash on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Three persons reportedly lost their lives in a lonely accident around Four Square Gate on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.<\/p>\n<p>The Ogun Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Mr Ahmed Umar, said the accident happened on Saturday around 6.50am, News Agency of Nigeria reports.<\/p>\n<p>Umar explained that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/09\/19\/bauchi-based-cameroonian-pastor-wife-killed-in-auto-crash\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">crash<\/a> involved three males and a Mitsubishi Canter with number plate LAR 116XN.<\/p>\n<p>He blamed the accident on excess speeding, which caused the vehicle to lose control and skidded into bush, leading to the death of all the males in the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe corpses of the victims have been deposited at FOS morgue, Ipara,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The sector commander described the crash as avoidable, advising <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/10\/11\/avoid-kabba-omuo-ekiti-highway-frsc-tells-motorists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">motorists<\/a> to avoid excessive speed and dangerous driving, and also to obey traffic rules and regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Umar commiserated with the family of the victims and prayed that God grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.<\/p>\n<p>He also enjoined them to contact the FRSC Command in Ogunmakin KM27, for details of the crash and reclaim the property of the victims recovered from the scene of the accident.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Three persons reportedly lost their lives in a lonely accident around Four Square Gate on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
