{"id":99635,"date":"2021-10-29T09:52:06","date_gmt":"2021-10-29T08:52:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=99635"},"modified":"2021-10-29T09:52:06","modified_gmt":"2021-10-29T08:52:06","slug":"nigerian-govt-planning-to-eliminate-nnamdi-kanus-lawyers-others-ipob-alleges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/10\/29\/nigerian-govt-planning-to-eliminate-nnamdi-kanus-lawyers-others-ipob-alleges\/","title":{"rendered":"Nigerian govt planning to eliminate Nnamdi Kanu\u2019s lawyers, others \u2013 IPOB alleges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has claimed there is a clandestine plan by the Nigerian government to eliminate lawyers representing their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.<\/p>\n<p>This was contained in a statement signed by IPOB\u2019s spokesman, Emma Powerful on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe wish to put the whole world on notice about the wicked plot by the frustrated Government of Nigeria to secretly eliminate our resilient lawyers, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor; and Barrister Aloy Ejimakor over their committed efforts in the defense of our leader who was renditioned from Kenya.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Nigeria Government is not happy with the expertise and professional prowess of these veteran lawyers and other members of the legal team to deflate the fabricated charges against our leader, hence their plot to eliminate them,\u201d it read in part.<\/p>\n<p>IPOB also alleged that \u201cthis covert plan extend to the elimination of Mazi Benjamin Madubugwu, Bright Chimezie Ishinwa, Chidiebere Onwudiwe, David Nwawuisi as well as several State Coordinators are in their elimination list handed down by the Nigerian government to its Security agencies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Nigerian government intends to carry out this targeted elimination through the security personnel deployed in South East under the guise of Operation Golden Dawn to do the dirty job.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe compromised security agents have decided to eliminate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/10\/29\/dss-denied-british-consul-ezeife-access-to-nnamdi-kanu-lawyer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nnamdi Kanu\u2019s lawyers<\/a> once they step into any part of South East.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It further warned that the \u201cSouth East remains our ancestral home and we cannot run away because we committed no sacrilege in our land.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnybody planing to kill us will be battling with the spirit of our ancestors and the spirit that own Biafraland.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, Ejiofor claimed that the Department of State Services (DSS) denied the British Consul and Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife access to his client on Thursday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has claimed there is a clandestine plan by the Nigerian government to eliminate lawyers representing their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
