The Liberty Rig (The White Uniform)<\/h3>\n

The liberty rig, also known as the white uniform, is primarily won by naval officers on admiralty duty. Naval personnel also wear this as they exit the ship.<\/p>\n

<\/a>The Working Rig (The Blue Uniform)<\/h3>\n

The working rig, or blue uniform, signifies the readiness of naval personnel for operational duties. The working Rig, as the name implies, is a navy blue uniform worn by Naval officials while on fieldwork. This work rig is frequently won by Navy cadets.<\/p>\n

<\/a>The Camouflage<\/h3>\n

Camouflage, sometimes known as “Camo,” is commonly worn by Nigerian Navy officers during combined military operations with other armed forces. The military forces use two forms of camouflage: desert camouflage (intended to mix with the landscape in northern Nigeria) and woodland camouflage (made for the terrain in southern Nigeria). Previously, each arm of the armed forces had its own camouflage, and the final Nigerian Navy camouflage was introduced in October 2012 at the Naval Headquarters in Garki, Abuja. In 2016, under the leadership of Tukur Burutai, the Nigerian Armed Forces launched a set of camouflage for all its three branches, Army, Air Force, and Navy. In other words, the whole Nigerian Armed Forces are now wearing the same camouflage. However, the badge on the left side of the chest indicates whether the soldier is an Air Force, Army, or Naval officer.<\/p>\n
