In a release by the Police stated that on the 2nd of August 2022 at about 0830hrs, distress call was received from reliable source, that as a result of heavy downpour, a room in the house of one Mal Yusuf Makeri ‘m’ age 50yrs of Likoro village Kirakasamma LGA has collapsed on his students (Almajiri).
Mal Yusuf is a Qur’anic teacher, living with his students in the same compound.
As a result of this, three (3) students were confirmed dead; Mustapha Ahmed ‘m’ age 15yrs, Sale Gambo ‘m’ age 14yrs and Musbahu Hassan ‘m’ age 16yrs.
Corpses were photographed and released to relatives for burial.
Investigation is on going.
Also on the same vein, information at our disposal revealed that, on 2/08/2022 at about 0230hrs, one room at the residential house of one Rayya Tsalha ‘m’ age 60yrs of Gamsarka village where reportedly collapsed on one Zainab Rayya ‘f’ age 12yrs and died before she rescued.
The corpse was evacuated and released to relatives for burial arrangements.
Investigation is on going.

On 01/08/2022 at about 2345hrs, one Isa Ya’u ‘m’ age 25yrs of Ruwa Dawa village Jahun LGA reported that, he boarded motor vehicle with one Sani Lawan ‘m’ age 40yrs of Dantanoma Quarters Gumel LGA and Jamilu Abdullahi ‘m’ age 28yrs of Gezawa LGA Kano State from Shuwarin to Gujungu town, on reaching at Ruwa Dawa village, he discovered that his android phone estimated value at forty thousand naira (#40, 000.00k) has been stolen while in the vehicle.
During the course of investigation, suspects confessed that, they criminally conspired and engaged in picking pocket (sane) from one market to another within Jigawa State.
Suspects will be charged to court to face the full wrath of the law upon completion of investigation.
On 2/8/2022 at about 1945, a team of Policemen attached to Jahun Division led by SP Abubakar Musa (DPO) raided criminal hideouts and black spots within Jahun metropolis.
During the raid, one Abdulrahman Adinan ‘m’ age 20yrs of Kofar Daro Jahun was nabbed with thirty (30) pieces of Exol D5 drugs.
Effort to trace his accomplices and suppliers is on top gear.
