In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a robbery incident took place between 5.00am and 6.15am.
The robbery occurred on the long bridge, near Warewa bus stop along Lagos-Ibadan express way. This robbery attack has become recurrent.
Abayomi, one of the passengers in the buses on the road at the time of the incident said:
There was a robbery and because of the robbery, people out of fear began to run. Some people hit the cars of others. Someone is lying lifeless and we heard that someone was killed.
We were not able to move close, buses were turning back. The police have come there now, but a while before they came.
The Divisional Police Officer at the Warewa Police station, Abdulfathai Ogunsanya said his men are at the crime scene. However, they have not gotten a detailed report.
