Court remands NGO founder in Kirikiri prison for allegedly molesting his twin sons

An Ikeja Chief Magistrate Court has ordered 37-year-old NGO founder, Jephath Ighodaro be remanded in Kirikiri prisons. Jephath was dragged before the court for allegedly sodomizing his twin under-aged sons.

Chief Magistrate P. E Nwaka, who did not take the plea of the accused, ordered the prosecutor to duplicate the case and send a copy to the Director of Public Prosecution for advice.

Recall that early this month, LIB reported about Ighodaro being arrested by the Lagos state police command for sodomizing his twin boys. His ex-wife whom he parted ways with three years ago, had found out about his illicit acts after her twin boys who visited her on holiday, touched her inappropriately. Upon inquiry, the twins told her how their father engaged them in different sexual acts.

At the hearing of the case against him yesterday, the Prosecutor, Insp. Christopher John, had told the court that the offence was committed between January and July 2018 at the accused residence.

“The boys were taken away from their mother by the accused in January and they have been living with him since then. It was during the holiday that the boys were allowed to visit their mother and she suspected something was going on,” he said
