A corps member, on Twitter, has detailed the neglect experienced by both patients and doctors at the Kura General Hospital in Kano State.

The corps member, Ose’bolt via his Twitter handle @osehike, shared photos of the hospital as well as his own face, which he claimed had suffered due to lack of protective gear.

He said the hospital has no oxygen cylinder and is served by only one medical doctor. The doctor is expected to work 24 hours, supported by a serving medical corps member, who is not paid.

He added, “In my line of duty as Corper Medical Officer in Kura General Hospital! No Personal Protective equipment – gloves, face mask. At the mercy of all infectious and communicable diseases.”
