“Na dem they rush us” – Obasanjo boasts as Nigerian politicians bombard him with visits

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has a message for those who think he is no longer relevant.

In a tweet posted a while he ago he wrote “In the past few days, I have received seeral politcians in my home including the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Ibrahim Dankwanbo regarding how to take Nigeria back to the path of greatness in 2019. Even though some people think I am no longer relevant, “na dem rush us”

The Na Dem Dey Rush Us trend is the funniest trend on the internet now.

Apparently, the “Na dem thy rush us” phrase sprung up from a scene of an old Nigerian movie and for some reason it caught the attention of whoever started this trend. In the video, the character Chijioke (Charles Onojie) tells a woman he’s ‘toasting”, Kate (Ruth Kadiri),

“Fine boys like us, we no dey too follow women like that. Na dem dey rush us”
