I don’t believe in God but I’m going to thank her tonight – says Hollywood actress Thandie Newton

Emmy is an American award that honours the excellence and achievements of the actors and companies providing content in the television industry. The 2018 Emmy Award took on Monday, September 17.

Hollywood actress Thandie Newton who won the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in the recently conducted Emmy, gave a moving speech as she accepted her award.

While receiving her award, Newton who is a cast on the popular television series Westworld, revealed that she doesn’t believe in God.

However, the actress who was excited about her win, gave thanks to God. She also referred to God as a woman as she gave thanks.

She said: “I don’t even believe in God but I’m going to thank her tonight. I am so blessed. I am so f*ucking blessed. To work with the people that I have gotten to work with. The cast and crew of – I can’t believe I’m here – the cast and crew of Westworld, I love you all so much.”

The excited actress also talked about her 18-year-old daughter. She said:

 “My family, my daughter Ripley turns 18 today and I get to guide you and love you and protect you, which is my north star, I love you so much baby. Thank you, thank you for this.”
