UNIBEN graduating student reveals how he wrote O’level exams 17 times (Photo)

When growing up, every child has a plan of how they want their life to look like. Everyone has always wanted to gain admission into the university immediately after secondary education but not all of them are that lucky.

Some wait many years before passing their ordinary leaving school certificate or Joint Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination, which hinders them from gaining admission into the university.

A young man identified as Emmanuel Oluwasayomi Ahmadu but popularly known as Mr Voiceover just shared a sad experience before he gained admission into the University of Benin (UNIBEN) where he studied mass communication.

He shared his experience during an award ceremony organized by West Africa Citizens Award for student brand of the year in West Africa. Born in Kogi state, Ahmadu is a voice over artiste, fast rising actor, writer and an entrepreneur. Narrating his success story, he revealed that he wrote O’level exams 17 times before he got lucky.

According to myschool.ng, Ahmadu said:

For me to have been among the graduating students and to have also represented the University of Benin and represented Nigeria on international scene means that anyone can succeed irrespective of whatever militating challenges or setbacks. I wrote o’level exams seventeen (17) times until I finally passed it in 2014, although it was not easy to have gone to several schools, wearing secondary school uniforms after many years of graduation and seeing your former junior colleagues who have gone to the University, now your teacher in secondary school. It was so shameful and embarrassing to bear.

The young man further urged everyone to await his soon-to-be-published book where he would share more of his success story.

We earlier reported that 14-year-old Oluwatunmise Idowu recently became an internet sensation after showing off how smart and brilliant he is. In 2016, the young girl solved 17 mathematical questions correctly in 60 seconds, on the Cowbellpedia TV quiz show. Her impressive feat earned her the nickname, Electric Brain.
