The incident happened after the tanker driver and the deceased identified as Anele Wagbara engaged each other in a fierce argument.

It was gathered that the tanker driver and Wagbara disagreed after the former was said to have parked his vehicle at the frontage of Wagbara’s mortuary.

Wagbara was said to have expressed dissatisfaction over the blockage of the facility’s main entrance. It was learnt that Wagbara appealed to the driver to re-park the vehicle but he refused.

A source claimed that in the heat of an argument, the tanker driver entered his vehicle, brought out a dagger and stabbed Wagbara.

The source identified only as David, added that Wagbara died instantly upon losing a lot of blood after the attack.

David said, “The tanker driver did not listen to the appeal that he should re-park his vehicle, but decided to argue with Wagbara. It was during the argument that the tanker driver entered his vehicle and brought out a dagger and stabbed him.’’

Realising what he did, the driver entered his vehicle to drive off but some youths in the area chased him and later handed him over to the police.
