Baby allegedly dies after being forcefully fed at a creche in Lagos

According LEGIT, the little girl was left at the creche by her parents when they headed to work in the morning.

The baby was reported to have gone into coma after she was fed. He also claimed that the staff at the creche did not seek medical help immediately the baby went into coma.

The 6-month-old baby girl’s parents were identified as The Olalekes. It was gathered that the tragic incident had occurred at a creche in Ajanaku street at Opebi off Salvation in Ikeja area of Lagos state.

However, it was reported that the staff had claimed that the baby was being fed when she went into coma. He noted that it was until the parents arrived at the creche that was when the baby was rushed to the hospital.

It was alleged that doctors had requested to meet the staff who fed the baby girl.

The incident has been reported to the police and it is being investigated.

The man who broke the news said:

“A horrible incident happened yesterday to a family in Lagos, the family left their 6 month old healthy baby girl at creche in the morning and went to work, around 13:00 hours the babe was forcefully fed by the staff and went to coma, the staff and management did not seek medical assistance quickly for the baby, unfortunately the baby passed away.

“The family name is Mr&mrs Olaleke , the creche address is Ajanaku St Opebi off Salvation Ikeja Lagos.

The babe was dropped in the creche and both parents left for work. According to the staff the baby was being fed when she went to coma, but I believe she was forcefully fed. When the parents arrived at the creche and rushed the baby to hospital the doctors actually requested for the staff who fed the baby. The case has been reported to the police.
