Recalls that the organizers of the reality show, Multichoice Nigeria, had in January, announced its decision to hold the fourth edition.
Multichoice Nigeria announced the return of the reality television show, saying it will be filmed in Nigeria, while Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will return as the show host for the third time.
In March, the organizers released 10 names of candidates likely to make it to the house for the 2019 edition.
In a statement on its website on Thursday, March 21, Multichoice had said:
“Meet the #BBNaija Contestant Candidates!”
The statement had said that viewers were at will to vote in who they want as the final contestants in the next 10 days.
“For the next 10 days, YOU have the power to vote in a hopeful Contestant Candidate into the 2019 BBNaija House!,” they added.
“Big Brother is giving you the viewer, the power to select one more housemate to go into the Big Brother house this season.
“These personalities bring you the choice of more drama, action, love, laughter or entertainment!
All you have to do is vote the personality you will like to see in the house daily, from March 21 – 31 2019
“Remember, you must be an active DStv/GOtv Subscriber to cast valid votes,” the statement had added.
Below are the names of the 2019 Big Brother Naija housemates shortlisted via online audition…

Onyeka’s tattoos highlight his life experiences. He may end up with too many tattoos to count. By the way, he loves to party!
6. Moshood
Age: 26
Moshood is a celebrity waiting to be rich and famous. Amala is bae but he’s no cook.
7. Todum
Age: 32
Extrovert and spontaneous in nature. Todum can’t dance to save his life but who says he needs a rhythm to have fun.
8. Ifeanyi
Age: 23
Ifeanyi loves cracking jokes, sings a lot and considers himself a great cook.
9. Oluwasegun
Age: 30
Oluwasegun is just a lucky guy. May be considered a nerd, but he accepts being a football fanatic.
10. Samson
Age: 25
Samson is a man on a mission. He says he’s so handsome and has titles for it.
