Nigeria vs Cameroon: Rohr receives major injury boost ahead of AFCON last-16 tie

The Super Eagles have conducted their final training session ahead of Saturday’s Round of 16 clash with Cameroon, in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Captain John Mikel Obi sat out the session, held at the Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria on late Friday.

Nigeria coach, Gernot Rohr, had already ruled Mikel Obi out of the encounter.

The midfielder had picked up an injury in their last Group B fixture against Madagascar.

Shehu Abdullahi, the other player who Rohr had also ruled out of tomorrow’s tie against the Indomitable Lions, however trained with the rest of the team as he continued his recovery from the knock that has kept him out of the last two games.
