Ex lawmaker tackles APC, Bello over governorship

A former member of the house of representatives from Kogi state, Hon Sunday Karimi, said no change of governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) would absolve the party of Governor Yayaya Bello’s administration in the state.

Karimi, who represented Yagba federal constituency in the lower chamber of the national assembly, said any attempt by the APC to abandon Bello at this stage after the colossal damage done to the people and state was not enough to appease the people.

The former lawmaker stated that Kogi people could no longer be deceived.

According to him, APC and Bello are inseparable, says following the governor’s lacklustre performance has made Kogi the poverty headquarters of Nigeria.

He said the people of the state are waiting for the governorship election in November to chase APC government out of the state.

The former lawmaker noted with disdain that contemplating a change of APC candidate after causing so much harm on Kogi people is a fluke planned to deceive the people.

Kogi people, according to Karimi, could no longer be fooled, pointing out that the people are now more than ever before resolute in their resolve to resist autocratic rule.

While noting that Kogi people can no longer take the sufferings that have become unbearable any longer, he said many Kogi people have lost their lives because of APC misrule and Gov Bello’s ineptitude.

He added that following the misrule by the APC led administration, Kogi people are tired, can no longer bear the sufferings, assured that the APC rule would come to it expiry date on November 16 governorship election.

It would be recalled that some chieftains of the APC had been championing the idea of dropping the governor for a fresh candidate at the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
