The residence of Kabiru Matazu, Chairman of Matazu Local Government Council, Katsina state was invaded by unknown gunmen on Wednesday and resulted into the killing of a gateman and abducting of two children
This sad incident occured on Wednesday in Matazu LG, Katsina state.
It was gathered that the suspected bandits numbering about 20, stormed the house about 2 .10am and started shooting.
While addressing journalists, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Gambo Isah confirmed the incident and disclosed that the incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday. He identified the security guard as Kabir Matazu.
Mr Isah said that after killing the security guard, the bandits abducted the two children, Aliyu and Abubakar Kabir Farouk. One of them has just completed his senior secondary school while the younger one is still in school.
He said that trackers were already on the trail of the bandits to arrest them and rescue the kidnapped children.
