VIDEO: Irate ex-Army General allegedly threatens to shoot Ikeja Electric staff

Employees of Ikeja Electricity (IE) were threatened with a pistol and a machete by a retired Army General during their visitation to his residence on Fatai Animashaun Street, Magodo in the course of duty.

This sad incident occured in Magodo Estate while the victims who are members of the Revenue Protection Team of Ikeja Electricity were rectifying and sealing prepaid meteres in the Lagos community.

It was learnt in a viral video that captured the scene that staffs of IE disclosed the objective of the task to the irate general that they are here to prevent the tampering of meters and ultimately, energy theft.

In this video, the provoked customer who apparently misconstrued the intention of the team from Ikeja Electricity (IE) could be seen threatening members of the team with his pistol and matchete.

The customer was hell bent on causing injury on any member who dared enter his house inspite of pleas, explanation and enlightenment by the team that they were on their routine duty.
