A student of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti (EKSU), Bukola Odeyemi, has allegedly stabbed her 22-year-old lover and fellow student, John Iju, to death.
The incident was said to have occurred at about 10 pm on Monday at one of the private hostels being used by students off-campus.
Ms Odeyemi, 20, was said to have had a misunderstanding with her boyfriend over his inability to give her N2,500 to make her hair.
Sources said the duo had a loud argument over the matter before Odeyemi picked up a knife and stabbed Mr Iju in the chest.
Odeyemi is in her third year studying Biology Education.
The victim’s friends were said to have reported the case at the police station in Iworoko.
Ekiti police spokesman, Caleb Ikechukwu, confirmed that Odeyemi had been arrested and would be prosecuted at the end of investigation.
Meanwhile, lady took to Twitter to narrate how her love for her boyfriend while still in the University made her cook a stolen goat for him and his friends.
@dejokecarew said she made pepper soup, peppered meat and stew for 10 people while being hailed as “our wife”. Her boyfriend however went on to marry his ex-girlfriend.
