Tragedy in Borno community as Boko Haram insurgents attack convoy, kill 11 soldiers, injure 14

No fewer than 11 soldiers dead and 14 others injured as Boko Haram insurgents attack a military convoy on October 3 in Borno State.

The victims were on patrol at Mauli-Borgozo Area of the state before the 34 soldiers including two officers were ambushed by Boko Haram insurgents at about 11:25a.m.

According to Premium Times report, the terrorists stole eleven AK-47 rifles from the soldiers they killed, made away with an anti-aircraft gun truck, damaged a gun truck and a military lorry used in conveying officers and equipment

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that “two soldiers were declared missing in the action after the attack which also left at least 15 civilians dead. It is however unclear if any of them belonged to Boko Haram.

However, a section of the Emir of Jajare’s Palace in Babangida headquarters of Tarmuwa Local Government Area has been set ablazed by Boko Haram insurgents on Saturday Afternoon, October 5th in Yobe State.

According to Eyewitnesses report, the insurgents stormed the town in a gestapo way and moved straight to the emirs palace but the Emir had left the palace two hours before the arrival of the insurgents.
