Buhari’s rumoured wedding: Worshippers storm Villa mosque

Amidst the viral news of marrying a second wife, President Muhammadu Buhari reportedly observed the weekly two raka’at jumaat prayer at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

In attendance were retinue of presidential aides, some cabinet members, former Governor of Zamfara, Abdul Aziz and Senator Kabir Gaya among others

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the mosque was filled to the brim and the jumaat prayer however witnessed unprecedented number of faithful.

Majority of the people who came to observe jumat prayers inside the Villa’s mosque purposely visited the mosque to confirm the authenticity of trending news story that President Buhari is planning to marry a second wife.

Recall that social media reports had claimed that President Buhari would get married on Friday to the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq but the rumoured wedding did not take place.

While reacting to the developments, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina has debunked the news story that has gone viral and described the story as false

According to Femi Adesina, the rumour was false and stressed that the rumour was a deceptive manoeuvre by those who fabricated the news..
