Sadiya Umar Farouq, minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management who maintained her silence over a now debunked rumors of her marriage with President Muhammadu Buhari was forced to react after an Impostor with a fake Twitter handle, @Sadiya_Farouq_, claims she will like to maintain a good relationship with President and the First Lady.
The Impostor while making cryptic remarks on the false story of marriage, wrote:
“There have been several speculations in media regarding Marriage between Myself and Baba Buhari. I will like to clarify this that me and Baba Buhari have been old time friends and Her Excellency Aisha is my good friend and a sister. I will like to maintain this good relationship,” one of the tweets read.
Sadiya Farouq swiftly reacted to the tweets from the parody account, saying its contents should be disregarded. She wrote:
“It has come to my attention that a fake Twitter account @Sadiya_farouq_ has been created in my name. I wish to inform my followers and well meaning Nigerians to disregard the handle and any information posted on it. My official Twitter handle remains @Sadiya_farouq Thank you,” she wrote.

Following Sadiya’s disclaimer, Nigerians urged Twitter users to report the fake account @Sadiya_Farouq_, so that it can be pulled offline.
The plea to block the fake twitter account seems to have yielded, at the time of concluding this report the parody account no longer exist on twitter.
